FROM COST TO PRICE
Calculate your 3D printing costs and prices
Filament is only part of the cost. Include printing time, electricity, machine wear and your work to decide what to charge.
Eligible accounts get a 72-hour Pro trial on the website, with no card required. The extension is not included.
A 120 g print starts in your slicer
At R$100 per kg of filament, a 120 g print uses R$12 of material. That is not the total cost or the selling price: you still need to account for machine time, labor and other expenses.
How it works
Enter weight and printing time
Copy the figures from your slicer and check whether they apply to one part or the entire build plate. Include supports and purged material when they contribute to consumption.
Use your own operating costs
Set your material, electricity, maintenance, labor, packaging and fee costs. Example values are no substitute for your actual expenses.
Compare prices and prepare a quote
Review the cost, choose a pricing approach and save scenarios. Then use a quote to present the order to your customer.
Before you start
Are margin and markup the same?
No. Profit margin measures profit as a share of the selling price; markup adds a percentage to the cost. Check which approach you are using before comparing results.
Is the slicer estimate the delivery time?
No. It estimates printing time. Preparation, finishing, the production queue and shipping also affect delivery.
Can I use the extension during the trial?
The 72-hour trial covers the website. The extension requires an active subscription or a valid manually granted subscription.
